IP Man

Geboren und aufgewachsen in den bewegten Jahren zwischen den beiden Weltkriegen, sucht der junge Ip Man (Kevin Cheng) sein Glück in den Kampfsport-Arenen von Kanton. Dort trifft er nicht nur seinen ersten Wing Chun-Lehrmeister Yu Fung-Kau (Rongguang Yu), sondern auch seine Sandkastenfreundin Cheung Wing-Sing (Cecila Han). Doch die Ereignisse in den Arenen und auch in Ip Mans eigenem Leben überschlagen sich in den Wirren des sich anbahnenden Bürgerkrieges. Schon bald findet der Kampf nicht mehr nur in Turnieren statt.
